OPEN NOTE TO CONGRESS

Censure the President and then pass a law nullifying the President's immigration policy. It is the only proper and honorable way to restore a lawful adherence to our constitutional Republic and the rule of law.

Our Constitution and the separation of powers that delegates the Congress to represent the people and legislate, while the executive branch is charged with the duty to ensure laws are followed, has been turned aside, and arrogantly ignored by Obama.

Impeachment, lawsuits,  withholding government funding are all slow remedies and thereby a denial of justice for the citizens of this great nation. Americans deserve immediate repudiation of the President's lawless and unconstitutional action on immigration.

Therefore, starting in January with the swearing in of the new Congress, I urge you to both call for a vote to censure the President and pass a bill that nullifies his unlawful immigration plan. In this simple short Bill, make it clear that all agencies involved with immigration, INS, Border Patrol and DHS  should ignore Obama's unlawful edict or risk being prosecuted for unlawful action. We must immediately re-establish that Congress not President Obama writes law.

In our system precedent is a powerful enabler of both proper and improper legal direction. This unconstitutional act by the President needs to be condemned as a break of oath to our nation's basic principles as a Republic and a vote of "Censure" of this unlawful act for the historic record.

Andrew Jackson was censured in 1834 for overreach but it was expunged in 1837 by Democrats. John Tyler was reprimanded by the House of Representatives in 1842 for bait and switch practices with the veto power. In 1848, James Polk was reprimanded for not seeking Congressional approval for the Mexican war.

If ever Congress had a legitimate reason for censure and or impeachment of a sitting President operating outside the boundaries of his oath of office, this current lawless action by President Obama shows contempt for our Republic.

In the 2014 elections Americans voiced a clear choice against the President's policy direction for the country. We the People should not be ruled or dictated to by a POTUS that ignores his obligation to adhere to his oath, nor should we be subjected to a Congress that abdicates its duty to represent the people and our Constitution.

America is only as strong as our representatives act in loyal oath to our Constitutional Republic. We trust (?) and expect Congress to do their duty.

LIES ARE NEW NORMAL FOR DEMOCRATS

Hillary Clinton stated months ago that she accepts responsibility over the failure to protect our diplomatic outpost in Benghazi. The problem with her seemly bold admission is that during the House and Senate hearings she admitted to absolutely no mistakes, errors or poor judgments.

In fact, she repeatedly danced between the factual truths and bold faced lies because most of our representatives chose to “smile for the camera” rather than hold her feet to the fire. For instance she repeated the lie (following Candy Crowley’s lead of CNN) that the President immediately called the attack at Benghazi an act of terrorism.

Even if you torture the words and contexts of Obama’s Rose Garden comments after the attack to make the case that he called it terrorism, you cannot dismiss the CBS interview with Steve Kroft in which the President punctuated his remarks by claiming it was too early to know.

Hillary claimed she knew it was a terrorist attack early on and not as a result of a protest over a video. Yet, no one asked Secretary Clinton why she reportedly told Charles Woods father of Tyrone victim of the Benghazi terrorist attack that “We’ll make sure the person that made that film is arrested and prosecuted.”

In a mind bending acrobatic twist Hillary and this administration want to deflect answers to questions based on an on-going investigation by the FBI yet Ambassador Rice, the President and the Secretary of State were willing to blame a video with no evidence to support its involvement.

Hillary might it seem have had a moment of candor during what otherwise was a well scripted and prepared testimonial performance.

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” Clinton asked the Republican Senator. “It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again.”

However, her false outrage and impertinent response was arrogantly planned to intimidate the committee and is as old as the hills a tactic to deflect blame. The “How dare you” and the “does it matter who did it” let’s just move on and focus on fixing the problem is a well worn way by many to avoid accountability.

If there is an ever increasing theme in the Obama administration and the Democratic Party it is to never blame members or supporters for corruption or ineptness and only always blame either the opposition party (Bush) or everyone.

We heard Democrats once again blame a lack funding for the lack of security at the Benghazi consulate. We heard Democrats blame conflicting intelligence reports from CIA, or the fog of war excuse. Finally we hear Hillary tell us “What difference at this point does it make?”

Right Obama won the debates and the election through lies, cover-ups and subterfuge and he was just sworn in to the highest office in the world. So what difference does it make?

Regardless of whether you voted for Obama, are a loyal Democrat or one of us (wretched nasty) conservative voters do you accept that your government lies to you? If it doesn’t bother you that they lie about the deaths of brave Americans then do you really believe your “check is” and will be in the mail?
So shouldn’t it matter even more to those that are big government statist’s that this benevolent government you trust to take care of you is truthful?

Conservatives understand that government is corrupt and the bigger government becomes the bigger and less accountable allows that corruption to expand beyond constraints. Smaller government will still have a measure of corruption but at least it makes those responsible for the corruption less able to hide behind a mountainous bureaucratic process.

All Americans should refuse the new normal that allows the government to lie, shield the truth and mock the truth seeker. Honesty matters to Americans and we still teach our children (I hope) not to lie, but rather to stand up and admit mistake or wrong-doing and vow to improve.

I ask Hillary Clinton and all Democrats, when did we ever decide as a culture that there was no difference between lies and the truth? When did the new normal become “What difference does it make?” When did you as a voter and an American decide that your government lies so let’s just move on?
Because the next question would be move on to what; trusting liars?
