POLITICAL POLES

The presidential and Congressional race of 2012 is becoming a political pollsters dream. They are publishing early public opinion on Republican candidates that have not even placed their hat in the ring. Americans are being asked to rate twiddle Dee versus twiddle dumb before the public has a clear introduction from all that will be running.

The only clear front running presidential candidate is Obama who speaks to his base in canned staged venues singing his delusional praises. Until he is challenged by the Republican opposition in a serious defiant way the public will remain undecided on his challenger.

In the parlance of politics the notion that the “early bird catches the worm” does not always translate into political success. In fact both Romney and Gingrich swallowed an early worm of political gaffe that threatens to choke their future candidacies. Defending a big State program dubbed “Romney Care” is untenable as was Newt’s past sympathies with Nancy Pelosi on global warming.

Americans polled at the moment only can answer one certain belief. Either you want another four years of Obama or you do not. However, those polls lack static truth if a Republican candidate comes along with fire in the belly responsive to America’s hunger for integrity. Even the Obama followers might leave his “pied piper” persuasion for a real American president.

Americans must ignore not only the liberal media pundits that praise their president and downplay the candidacies in opposition but also the Republican pundits. They enjoy voicing their opinions on the horses before the start of races but American should not place their bets on their commentary.

The race has not started for the Republican Party instead we have witnessed the pre-race prancing of a small number of official gate entries. We need to be patience and open-minded and not allow the color commentary to turn us away from so-called long shots.

The political poles in the 2012 election are as far apart as the earth’s north and south poles in ideological differences. The candidates that want to find warmth in the equator of compromise between socialism versus constitutional re-affirming policy will come up lame in the race.

All Americans understand that the country faces major challenges both foreign and domestic to which simple solutions cannot fix overnight. However, this election has more to do with direction rather than policy. The direction of the Obama administration and the Democratic Party has never been as far left, or south of the center-right electorate.

Any Republican candidate should understand that their focus should be on the political poles and not the political polls when standing at the podium of electoral debate. Americans still value honesty, integrity, capitalism, constitutional rights, loyalty to our allies and fiscal responsibility.

Some will suffer hoof in mouth disease, some will lose their early leads, some will throw their riders, some will hit the guard rail, some will come up lame but one thing is certain Americans are looking for a “draft horse” to re-plow the seeds of our Republic!
