DING DONG THE SWITCH IS DEAD

Obama learned little from his 2010 “shellacking” as he campaigns to donors for money to return Nancy Pelosi to Speaker of the House. That ship has sailed, that house has fallen and outside of a small group of Nancy groupies no one wants her to hold a gavel ever again.

The President won his re-election in 2012 but it was not a landslide, not a mandate and the country has not embraced Obamacare or socialism as the President wants to assume.

In fact, Obamacare is more unpopular now than it was when Nancy made the famous brainless statement “We have to pass the bill to know what’s in the bill.” Well Americans don’t have to re-elect Nancy Pelosi as speaker to know what kind of Speaker she is, she is a discredited voice on every issue facing the nation.

Her arrogance coupled with her witless prescriptions for everything from more stimuli for the economy to her new campaign for universal child care. Americans are not foolish enough to be fooled again by giving Nancy the gavel to reconcile (force) her loony liberal socialists programs down our throats again.

Obama’s failed Sequestration campaign and his current attack on America’s 2nd Amendment rights is exposing his political fallibility based on his mythical belief since his re-electing that the country has changed. The truth is not that America has changed as much as the American political party system still generates more hype than hope.

By Obama promising (more akin to threatening) the American people to a return to the good old days of Pelosi as Speaker he reveals his own misinterpretation of the nation’s sentiments. Pelosi is not just the poster child for the still widely unpopular Obamacare but even Democratic voters rejected how the Speaker made the sausage in the backroom that gave us this one-sided piece of legislation.

Equally, since she was in the spotlight for the healthcare legislation even the low-information voter that may have been ignorant before 2010 now know and equate Nancy Pelosi’s name with obtuseness and arrogance.
The Scott Brown campaign centered on the voice of the electorate wanting defeat of Obamacare to put Nancy Pelosi and those supporting that legislation to a halt. When Brown won his Massachusetts Senate seat he was lauded as the one Senate vote needed to kill the Healthcare Bill.

We all remember the anger, and incredibly disheartening news that Nancy Pelosi was going to use reconciliation, a parliamentary procedure intended to speed up the legislative process when all sides agree to legislation except for funding discrepancies or reconciliation. However, she was well aware that the Healthcare Bill did not fall into this category or was anything close to unanimous in approval.

Undeterred and with complete disregard for more than half the electorate in dissent she pushed this boondoggle legislation down America’s throat. The 2010 election was a repudiating of her Party’s tyrannical defiance of the Will of the People.

Apparently Obama’s 2010 shellacking had little effect on his governance as he has continued to pursue a political course and discourse as partisan and as tone deaf as ever to his responsibility to be President of all Americans not just his liberal party. His appeal to his donors to return a one-sided partisan Congress with none other than the woman who asserted that Town Hall voters protesting Obamacare were anti-American is in a perverse way a help to his opposition.

If conservatives need help to rally the base to win congressional seats in 2014 then the President just helped the cause. Even the low information voter attention can be easily revived by “Look, you don’t want Pelosi back in charge do you?”

Of course in staying with my theme perhaps an hourglass and a wicked witchy cackle laugh would make a more successful foreboding image to the 2014 electorate. I and many Americans will not allow Pelosi to be able to ever say again to us “I’ll get you my pretty”.
