SLOW AND IMPERIOUS!

On December 14, 2010  an American border agent Brian Terry was killed by guns allowed to walk across the border by the ATF's sting operation known as "Fast and Furious" that started in 2009.  Pursuant to a  lawsuit filed by Congress, the court finally burped out a ruling in January 2016, that required the administration to release a portion of documents requested by the oversight committee.

Now three months after that court ruling and almost 5 years after the scandal first broke, the Department of Justice is releasing some, (not all) of that portion of documents required by the court ruling and demanded by the House and Senate.

Obama used Executive Privilege to shield Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice officers, allowing them to withhold documents for years regarding the gun-running scheme. Congress then sued for the documents claiming that Obama could not use Executive Privilege in order to deny the Terry family or the American people, the right to know the extent of the government's involvement in this deadly so called anti-crime caper.

After a long laborious court battle the square cement wheels of justice, have finally rolled the cart of corruption forward, where it is spilling a little more of its oozing load of backhanded culpability onto the public street. Congress is just now weeding through voluminous notes and e-mails looking for evidence. Meanwhile, most Americans believe justice for the Terry family and countless others, deadly affected by our government's Machiavellian arrogance, will never be served to those that deserve punishment.

"Justice delayed is justice denied" is a quote by William Gladstone a 19th century British politician, but its razor edged truth has not dulled with time. This Administration has used delay, deflection and subversion as its modus operandi from the very first days in office and will shamelessly have all its henchmen and women safely far away, from viewing vertical iron bars and wearing orange jumpsuits, when it finally folds its occupy the White House tents, for good, next year.

It is one thing to have a deliberate and due process system that protects the rights of citizens from being falsely or unjustly imprisoned, but if our justice system is so slow and imperious to the need for a swift end to the withholding or the destruction of evidence, by our government, then there isn't justice, but rather elitist absolution.

The Obama administration has been turning its back to Congress knowing the chamber is just a room full of rubber cleavers. He is unconcerned that his iniquitous activities would earn them a stab of ethical retribution or legal accountability.
Why have our representatives done nothing to government violators of our laws, while the average citizen experiences swift and heartless legal enforcement? Given the corruption of Holder's justice system they should have passed an independent counsel bill, to sharpen the cleaver blade.

There is a difference between government scandals that involve innocent citizens being killed or financially ruined, versus government waste. Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS targeting, need swift justice not years of stalling. Retribution needs to be swift and harsh to send a strong deterrent message to those people in government who are involved with callous acts against the citizenry. Otherwise animosity between the government and the people ferments a cynical loathing by both, and then government power becomes routinely abusive.

Waco, Ruby Ridge and now the recent FBI shooting of Lavoy Finicum involved in the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge center in Oregon, make all Americans wonder, "Do citizens matter"? Whether you think the ranchers should have been protesting and trespassing on federal lands, or not, was killing a man necessary? When did vandalism and trespassing rise to a death sentence in America? Why didn't the FBI let this man go turn himself in, to the county sheriff?

Not all government corruption is equal, just as not all crime, involves sirens and paddy wagons. For instance, police are not called when there is a beating by a sadist married to a masochist. Police are not called when parents are robbed by their drug addicted child. Police are also not called when criminal gangs are warring with criminal gangs.

However, if the sadists lays hands on a unwilling victim, or that addicted child robs the neighbors, or those gangs shoot and kill innocent bystanders on the street, then police are called and the community clamors for justice and accountability.

"Fast and Furious" did spill out onto the street. It is, the sadist government,  the addict government and the gang government spilling out of their haven and harming innocent citizens in three ways.

First, we citizens have a masochistic tendency to call for laws on every folly in life, unwittingly causing more pain to a wider group of people. The government sadists love it, because they protect their own, but for the rest of us, more laws, only results in less freedom. Most Americans believe that our justice system has ceased to be blind, and there are sadly those who live, above the law. Today, it seems that only  unconnected citizens suffer consequences under the federal code.

Second, as government is addicted to money and power, we as citizens continue to enable our addicted Congress persons by re-electing them back into office rather than tossing them out. Too many inept and constitutionally ignorant House and Senate representatives hold on to power because we refuse to demand accountability. How can we not, expect that our rights will be altered, ignored or legislated away, when we refuse to stand up to Washington corruption?

Three, government departments are like gangs. When they engage in turf wars with each other we have incidences like 911 or the Boston Marathon bombing, in which all of us, trusting citizens are victims, thought of only as collateral damage by the bureaucracy. There are people dead and missing limbs, because the DHS and the FBI, acted politically correct rather than err on the side of American safety. (The Tsarnaev family should never have been granted asylum by DHS, and the FBI should have deported Tamerlan Tsarnaev.)

Worse, when government agencies join forces in a collective gang to harass citizens, it becomes a conspiratorial cabal as rotten and thuggish as any section of a major city where street gangs set the rules.

When citizens like Catherine Engelbrecht, start a civic minded group called True the Vote, in order to ensure that elections are not filled with fraud, instead of our government celebrating her participation in helping to keep elections clean, they ganged up to shut her down. The IRS, BATF, OSHA, EPA and FBI all investigated Engelbrecht family and their business because they don't like conservative groups exposing government and Party corruption. Countless other Americans have been harassed and financially hurt (Gibson Guitar) by bureaucrats empowered by a lazy Congress.

Our government has spied on us, lied to us, used unwarranted investigation to intimidate us, forced lawful gun dealers to sell to drug dealers across the border and when these scandals result in the ultimate price of death, we as citizen expect more. Much, much, more than a grandstanding hearing by pompous politicians promising to make law changes to ensure abuses don't repeat. We want all those at the ATF and Justice Department, IRS, Veterans Administration, FBI who abused their power and caused citizen's irreparable harm to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Doesn't law enforce clamor for swift and strong justice in order to deter future crimes? Where is citizen justice for a corrupt government?

Unless citizens demand smaller more accountable government, from both political parties, then tyranny will slowly but imperiously shadow every citizen's doorway, and government edicts will be fast and furiously tyrannical, while guilty government officials remain free to be above the law. Is this the government, that so many brave Americans have died to preserve?  How perverse are American values today, that we are willing to allow government to get away with murder?

NOT THE ECONOMY STUPID!

Those that think that the 2012 election is about the American economy as the sole overarching issues of import are not only blind to the political reality but show their self-possessed issue orientated careless civic responsibility.

Never before has America’s Constitution been more under siege.

Never before has the Country’s debt been more burdensome on posterity.

Never before has half the Country’s population been non-taxpaying.

Never before has the Country’s law enforcement agencies openly admitted
spying on Americans on social network sites.

Never before has the Country gone this long without passing a Federal budget.

Never before has the Country seen an administration so hostile to both foreign allied countries and its own citizens on the opposing political fence.

Never before has the Country experienced an administration that openly mocks the power of Congress by making cabinet appointment without Senate consent.

Never before has the Country seen its Justice Department complicit in arming drug thugs in another country for the political purpose of undermining the 2nd Amendment.

Never before has the Country seen a federal government with a cadre of Czars not answerable to Congress or the people.

Never before has the Country experienced a Healthcare and Financial Bill that contains so many tentacles of regulatory power that it threatens the whole notion of private enterprise.

Never before has the Country experienced an edict by a President that openly challenges their 1st Amendment rights of free exercise of religion.

Never before has the Country experienced an entrenched media bias that wishes to propagandize for the President while American citizens are purposefully misled.

Never before has the Country seen a president in the White House that openly preaches distorted truth, re-writes the historic meaning of our founded Republic, disparages America while in foreign countries and is a pathological ideologue.

This election is not about the economy and the unemployment numbers.

This election is about America’s survival as a financially solvent, constitutionally sound and intact Republic currently under siege by the President and his Democratic Party minions.

All Americans regardless of whether they call themselves Independent, Republican, Democrat or Libertarian should clearly see that the future of our Nation is at stake.

There should be no excuses that you did not know. There should be no claims of special interest rationale. There should be no mistaking that this election is the crossroad for the future of America.

What did you do for your Country? How did you vote for your Country? What America did you leave your children? Did you leave them a Country that you were proud to hand over to them?

OLD FASHIONED VOTER REMEDY

The Democrats and the President have been effective with some American voters in manipulating the perception that Republicans in the House and Senate along with former president George Bush are to blame for all our woes.
Not only is this accounting of reality fictional rubbish it is a lie from those that want nothing more than to bring down America by destroying her foundational wholesomeness.
Americans need to face facts and ignore finger pointing arguments by vapid politicians. The House was altered in the 2010 but in any election cycle only a third of the political seats are up for re-election by the voters.
The new blood in the House has been an infusion of political penicillin to the disease of corruption, cronyism and constitutional subterfuge. However, the small minority of new members cannot cure the patient (Congress) for two reasons.
One the Democrats still hold the majority in the Senate and two the old guard Republican Senate and House members continue to refuse to attack the virus fearing they will suffer political reprisal.
Pundits and some Americans still don’t understand the aim of the Tea Party Movement. The failure to win the Senate in 2010 which allowed Harry Reid to be the guardian of the gridlock gate is pointed to as an Angle blunder.
However, the odd thing about failure is that in order to truly find success one needs to learn from mistakes not fold the tent. True failure is giving up and the Tea Party Movement has only just begun to battle the breeding beltway contagion.

Yes we failed in 2010 to win the senate but we have stopped the President and the Democrats from continuing to ramrod through their long list of anti-American legislation designed to infect every aspect of America’s soundness.
The gridlock therefore is representative of the patient under medical supervision but by no means out of critical condition as we await the 2012 election. It is imperative that we win the Senate this time if we hope to wellness to come to our nation.

The effects of the Tea Party Movement’s rise have had unseen influence in a multiplicity of ways that either isn’t reported or continues to be undervalued by oblivious political observers.
It matters little whether you call yourself a Tea Party Movement member instead it is more important that the voter choose a side. Are you on the side of America’s health as a proud nation or are you on the side of those wishing to see her crumble into Roman ruin.
The Democratic left is no longer hiding their secret statist socialist agenda. Worse for them is that the Europe they always pointed to as proof that there can be a socialist state that works is equally exposed as dysfunctional.
Americans are not only on the track of Greece and Italy’s infirmity caused by Democratic socialists policies coupled by Republican lameness but even if we start to recover it will be a long painful rehab.
The presidential race is important for one aspect of recovery and the Senate is another much like a patient that needs illness fighting medicine but equally restive care.
The results of the 2012 election will be critical. In the executive branch America needs leadership that understands the importance of re-establishing America’s boldness as a strong guardian against menacing nations in the world.

In the Senate the curative must take place quickly and extensively by first stopping the bleeding by addressing the debt with real surgery to the federal budget along with repeal and reform of many unhealthy beltway habits.
Many political pundits are making predictions about the 2012
If Americans continue to re-elect those representatives who both poisoned America and continue to feed her arsenic as she languishes then shame on us.
There is no reason to claim that you have been fooled anymore.
America is not a dying old man but an infant comparatively in the historic timeline of nations and if we fail to save the baby from the bathwater there will be grave consequences for generations to come.
We have a two party system and we have ultimately two choices. Return the power to the Democrats that want to re-birth America into a socialist’s state or replace the power with Republicans that have pledged to save her.

Yes there will be some blue blooded liberal Republicans residing in both Houses but the good news is that these political cowards will no longer be able to hide from the voter if they dare side with the minority. It would be political suicide and their expedient hubris would keep them voting with the majority.

The 2012 election is about the Senate as much as it is a presidential race. If Americans want reform and greater opportunity in the future we need to go back to basic fundamental limited government.
The American citizens can bring America back to health by voting against the liberal disease eating away at our liberties.

THE STATE OF THE STATES

The debt deal has States readying for the revenue losses that they expect will dry up from Washington. Some are proposing cutbacks in benefits while others are discussing tax hikes.

The problem is that unless Washington changes the mandatory spending and regulations by States then without Federal funding the States must continue to run in the red.

That means tax increases and increased pot holes or both for the citizens. The only real way to reduce government spending at both the Federal and State level is to get rid of Federal mandates.

That requires repealing Obamacare along with the long list of federal regulations from Transportation to Commerce but that cannot be done in a democratically controlled White House and Senate.

"States rely on federal aid to pay for many popular programs, including Head Start, work study, energy and housing subsidies, highway repair, and emergency response. With fewer federal dollars available, states will need to restrict their own resources to vital institutions, while cutting or charging fees for less-crucial services."
"Since August 2008, state and local governments have trimmed workforces at a rate of about 10,000 to 20,000 positions per month, according to the CBPP. Reduced federal aid will likely mean more state-level job and benefits cuts, which in turn could slow states’ recoveries."

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2011/0802/Fewer-cops-more-potholes-How-debt-deal-could-hit-states-hardest

Yet a big federal government has all the States by the throat and the only way to really cut big government is to rid our nation of federal mandates and entitlements. That requires that the American people call on our leadership in Washington in 2012 to get rid of Agencies not just cutting their budgets.

However some Republicans hedge on ridding the Federal Government of extra constitutional tentacles such as EPA and Agriculture worrying that doing away with these agencies will both lose them votes and increase unemployment in a lackluster economy.

Yet, the redundancy of these Federal Agencies that then require States to enact laws and layers of bureaucracy to comply is what is wrong with big central government that belittles States’ Rights along with raising taxes to the citizens at the State level.

The only rational way to reduce the size of the Federal government is to abolish its many intrusive Agencies that strangle our economy and franchise Statehood leaving it powerless to practice individual experimentation.

America needs to cut Federal Agencies wholesale such as the Education Department but do it incrementally in a 5 year phase out to give federal workers time to look for private sector jobs. Some of the federal employees could be absorbed by State government while others would be given a warning a year in advance that their job will become obsolete. Thereby incrementally culling the Departments annually until the Department is finally retired.

Business routinely expands and contracts its divisions of labor by absorbing some workers into other departments and giving other employees time to seek new work outside the company. Not all business just blithely lay off workers and the government could use this ratchet down approach to rid Americans of wasteful ineffective government bloat.

Americans are tired of politicians claiming that if it reduced its bureaucracy, regulations and workforce that the sky will fall down. Contracting the size and regulatory power of the Federal government along with tort reform and tax reform (flat tax) would have long term investment spurring economic growth.

The States are going to hurt if federal mandates and regulatory agencies such as EPA continue to dictate money spending to States without offering the States a check. Americans want not just a smaller Federal government in reduced budgets for bureaucracies they want the federal government redundant and unnecessary Agencies off the State and citizens pocketbook totally.

Then States could manage with block grants education, environment, commerce, energy, agriculture, and transportation leaving the Feds the military, Social Security, Center for Disease Control and Immigration and Naturalization where perhaps with only those few agencies they might consider watch dogging waste.

If the politicians say it can’t be done then their time in office should also be considered done by the voter. We the people need to demand a change until Washington changes!
