DID THE BUREAU DROP A DRAW?

Whether out of ego or distrust the local, state and federal law enforcements have an obligation to put aside their differences in order to combat both crime and terrorism to keep the American street safe.

Did they in the case of the Boston Marathon bombers? The answer appears to be both yes and decidedly no. Yes, in the aftermath of this cowardly terrorist act they seem to come together working well to capture the suspects. Yet, no they did not share information to local authorities about the older bomber who had been investigated by the FBI based on the Russian counter-terrorists request.

It leads to the same query Americans had about 911. Could the hijacking of 911 been prevented, or could the Marathon bombing been prevented?

Before 911 the FBI’s counter-terrorism division had the names of possible terrorists yet they did not share that list with INS and some of the hijackers brazenly walked into our country under the nose of our so-called security. The CIA blamed the FBI and the FBI blamed the CIA and both agencies blamed the National Security Agency who blamed the FBI and the CIA.

We then had an independent commission (911 Commission) investigate the buck and blame passing to learn that every agency had to accept partial responsibility for dropping the ball. Moreover the number one reason why they failed their primary objective to keep America safe was that these agencies failed to have cooperative intelligence sharing.

There was a stove-pipe or turf entrenchment in these agencies that either did not trust one another or wanted to garner agency credit as though the CIA and FBI were competing sports teams. The report by the 911 commission indeed was an indictment against the bureaucratic culture in government.

The solution by the Bush Administration seemed both then and now to be akin to making another cut in the patient when the previous blood-letting curative failed. Bush’s solution to bureaucratic anemia was to create another bureaucracy called Department of Homeland Security or DHS.

Most Americans believed that the creation of another bureaucratic agency was not only an unnecessary expansion of government, but ridiculously expected bureaucracy to control bureaucracy while they ignored the real problem; bureaucratic paralysis . When you ignore any problem it grows, festers and becomes even harder to solve as its imperfection is accepted as the new normal.

Looking at the Boston Bombing incident we see déjà vu all over again. Arguably under the Obama administration our government’s policy of political correctness and multicultural blindness has made America more vulnerable than before 911. The vetting of those seeking asylum, visas or green card admission into America appears nonsensical at best and politically motivated at worst.

The INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) granted asylum to the Tsarnaeva family in 2002 from Dagestan granting citizenship to the younger bomber Dzhokhar in 2011 all with DHS approval.

We imported the Cleaver family into the United States where the mother June Cleaver or (Zubeidat Tsarnaeva) supplemented the family income by given facials in her home and shoplifting clothes from the Lord and Taylor department store. Ward Cleaver or (Anzor Tsarnaeva) was an auto mechanic that suffered ill health and eventual Ward and June divorced over rumored differences about fundamentalist Islamic beliefs.Ward (Anzor) returned to Dagestan leaving June (Zubeidat) to raise the Cleaver clan alone.

Wally (Tamerlan) was the older of the two brothers and made his parents proud by dropping out of school, going on welfare, getting a girl pregnant, marrying her, converting her from Christianity to Islam and slapping her around a bit as well. He also coincidentally found that his wife Katherine Russell shared the same passion as her mother-in-law; shoplifting.

The Beaver (Dzhokhar) was the all American immigrant citizen attending college, by all accounts a bright kid that was failing his courses perhaps because he had a greater passion for pot smoking and dealing.
Yes Wally (Tamerlan) was a great son and older brother for the Beaver (Dzhokhar) to look up to and emulate. You can hear it now can’t you?

The Beaver (Dzhokhar) saying to Wally (Tamerlan);

“Hey Wally (Tamerlan) what happens if we get caught planting the bombs? Will Mom and Dad be upset? Do we really have to commit suicide? Can I smoke another blunt before we head to New York?  Hey Wally do I get to pick my 72 virgins from thousands of virgins or does Allah pick them for me?”

Yes our government imported the Cleaver family even though the Russians warned us that Wally (Tamerlan) might be a terrorist. Yes our government imported an Islamic mother June Cleaver (Zubeibat) that became more religiously zealous as she trolled the Boston stores for good buys to shoplift. Yes our government granted citizenship to the Beaver (Dzhokhar) that along with Wally (Tamerlan) planted bombs at the Boston Marathon that killed a handful of Americans and maimed and scarred for life hundreds of others.

What has our government learned from 911, Fort Hood, Benghazi and now the Boston bombings?
Nothing, because if we don’t demand our government to start profiling and getting serious about protecting Americans from Islamic Jihadists then we will be seeing more carnage on our streets.

We need to demand that Congress investigate and give us a full accounting of Benghazi and the Boston Bombings and stop pretending we are not at war with terrorists.

DING DONG THE SWITCH IS DEAD

Obama learned little from his 2010 “shellacking” as he campaigns to donors for money to return Nancy Pelosi to Speaker of the House. That ship has sailed, that house has fallen and outside of a small group of Nancy groupies no one wants her to hold a gavel ever again.

The President won his re-election in 2012 but it was not a landslide, not a mandate and the country has not embraced Obamacare or socialism as the President wants to assume.

In fact, Obamacare is more unpopular now than it was when Nancy made the famous brainless statement “We have to pass the bill to know what’s in the bill.” Well Americans don’t have to re-elect Nancy Pelosi as speaker to know what kind of Speaker she is, she is a discredited voice on every issue facing the nation.

Her arrogance coupled with her witless prescriptions for everything from more stimuli for the economy to her new campaign for universal child care. Americans are not foolish enough to be fooled again by giving Nancy the gavel to reconcile (force) her loony liberal socialists programs down our throats again.

Obama’s failed Sequestration campaign and his current attack on America’s 2nd Amendment rights is exposing his political fallibility based on his mythical belief since his re-electing that the country has changed. The truth is not that America has changed as much as the American political party system still generates more hype than hope.

By Obama promising (more akin to threatening) the American people to a return to the good old days of Pelosi as Speaker he reveals his own misinterpretation of the nation’s sentiments. Pelosi is not just the poster child for the still widely unpopular Obamacare but even Democratic voters rejected how the Speaker made the sausage in the backroom that gave us this one-sided piece of legislation.

Equally, since she was in the spotlight for the healthcare legislation even the low-information voter that may have been ignorant before 2010 now know and equate Nancy Pelosi’s name with obtuseness and arrogance.
The Scott Brown campaign centered on the voice of the electorate wanting defeat of Obamacare to put Nancy Pelosi and those supporting that legislation to a halt. When Brown won his Massachusetts Senate seat he was lauded as the one Senate vote needed to kill the Healthcare Bill.

We all remember the anger, and incredibly disheartening news that Nancy Pelosi was going to use reconciliation, a parliamentary procedure intended to speed up the legislative process when all sides agree to legislation except for funding discrepancies or reconciliation. However, she was well aware that the Healthcare Bill did not fall into this category or was anything close to unanimous in approval.

Undeterred and with complete disregard for more than half the electorate in dissent she pushed this boondoggle legislation down America’s throat. The 2010 election was a repudiating of her Party’s tyrannical defiance of the Will of the People.

Apparently Obama’s 2010 shellacking had little effect on his governance as he has continued to pursue a political course and discourse as partisan and as tone deaf as ever to his responsibility to be President of all Americans not just his liberal party. His appeal to his donors to return a one-sided partisan Congress with none other than the woman who asserted that Town Hall voters protesting Obamacare were anti-American is in a perverse way a help to his opposition.

If conservatives need help to rally the base to win congressional seats in 2014 then the President just helped the cause. Even the low information voter attention can be easily revived by “Look, you don’t want Pelosi back in charge do you?”

Of course in staying with my theme perhaps an hourglass and a wicked witchy cackle laugh would make a more successful foreboding image to the 2014 electorate. I and many Americans will not allow Pelosi to be able to ever say again to us “I’ll get you my pretty”.

DEMOCRATS DRONE ON AND ON

Rand Paul’s Wednesday March 6, 2013 filibuster that lasted a few minutes shy of 13 hours and was an inspiration to all Americans as he defended our Constitution and traditional American moral values.
The issue surrounded the President’s lack of definitive answers regarding whether the Executive Branch claimed authority to drone American citizens suspected of being a terrorist threat on American soil without allowing them due process.

The Senator from Kentucky had requested clarification on the President’s authority since the leaked secret “White Paper” revealed a legal opinion justifying the recent drone strike on an American born terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki that was killed in Yemen in 2011.

The “White Paper” was problematic for a number of reasons. First, it was kept secret from the oversight of Congress.

Second it laid out new definitions and parameters to words such as “eminent” threat and enemy combatant to justify assassination targets.

Thirdly, since al-Awlaki was a citizen of the United States it raised issues over the unilateral right of the Executive Branch to suspend due process without judicial involvement.

Fourth, if the “White Paper” is allowed to be used as an unchallenged precedent that contains no Congressional debate then what is to stop the President from decided other Americans can be targeted for drone strikes with this new construct of power that ignores citizen’s rights per the Bill of Rights?

Earnestly, Rand Paul wrote repeatedly to the Administration for clarification by asking a simple question of the White House on whether they believed that the President or Executive Branch has the authority under the Constitution to drone Americans on American soil.

Instead of receiving a clear, unequivocal and emphatic “NO” from the DOJ or any other spokesperson from the White House there was first silence and then circumspect responses such as “no plans” to do so or that it would be “inappropriate”.

More importantly, John Brennan who was intimately involved with the drone program was about to be voted on by the Senate to head the CIA. Rand Paul took a stand against allowing this murky non-committal response by the White House on the use of drones. Holding up the vote of John Brennan, one of Obama’s main promoters of drone attacks and “kill List” for director of the CIA until his question was fully answered.

Anyone that claims this was a stunt; grandstanding or an unreasonable position taken by Senator Rand Paul is not paying attention to an administration that uses every legal contortion to further the President’s power. (Example; when advisers discussed the President using the 14 Amendment to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling).

The Senator’s filibuster could have been averted completely weeks earlier by Eric Holder and or the White House by a simple declarative statement asserting that the President has no such dictatorial power.
The Senator’s filibuster could equally have been averted by the Senate majority leader Harry Reid by allowing a Paul’s Resolution Bill to be voted on in the Senate prior to the Brennan vote, that simple stating that the Executive Branch does not have the authority outside of war or eminent threat to suspend due process.

Lastly, at any time in the roughly 13 hours of Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster the Democrats or the White House could have passed a resolution or sent over legal clarification to the Senator ending his filibuster.

The Democratic Party has revealed three very illustrative aspects to their ideology all Americans should take note. This modern day Democratic Party so radical and  emasculated by its politics first logic that it sat in silence over the most basic rights of Americans; life.

The first is Hypocrisy 101; in that Democrats do not support water boarding claiming it is torture while being pro assassination by drone. The ACLU was in support of Rand Paul.

The second is the Stepford wife syndrome; only one lone Democratic Senator from Oregon Ron Wyden rose in support of Rand Paul and the Constitutional principle he was advocating. Senator Dick Durbin should not be counted for he was there along with Harry Reid to try and stop the filibuster not join it or concede to Paul’s resolution, and move the Senate to cloture.

The rest of the Party was kept loyally silent by their master President Obama. The unilateral loyalty of the Democratic Party to back their President’s noncommittal attitude on the most foundational morality and American value of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is frankly disturbing.

Lastly the Democrats Trans-morphing of Congress; call it either Senate-Executive or the Executive-Senate but Majority leader Harry Reid has created a body that has no independent power, no debate, no votes on budgets and Bills deemed politically disadvantageous to the Executive Branch’s political agenda. What should be a check and balance on the Executive Branch and a Senate body intended to debate and deliberate pressing issues of the country have been swallowed up by political partisan promotion and a silencing of the minority opinion.

This Democratic Party contains few individuals as it marches in lockstep with the President’s agenda regardless if it is in the country’s interest. If the fawning Press corps claims to be controlled by this White House then the Democratic Party has allowed itself to be owned by this administration.

The fact that Senator Harry Reid refused to allow a simple declarative Bill to be voted on freely up and down by the 100 Senators as to whether the President has the right to suspend due process for Americans on American soil reveals the Democratic Party’s complete subservience and allegiance to the President rather than to America’s flag .

We also heard from Senator Ron Johnson when he spoke during the filibuster about the dysfunction of the Senate. Under the iron fist of Harry Reid little debate was ever heard on the floor in four years along with the lack of a budget passed by the so called deliberative body of Congress.

The filibuster was both a proud moment for the people’s voice and a shameful silence of the disconnected and politically arrogant Majority Party. Both Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham once again showed the public their venial ignorance about standing for principles when they criticized Paul the following day. They represent the old guard political arrogance that needs replacing in Washington.

Rand Paul was speaking for many Americans very concerned about an administration that has been secretive, dishonest, partisan and careless with our treasures in both American money and fighting men and women.

The drone issue is not settled. The drone policy is not clear. The use of lethal force by drone must have better over sight other than to simply take the Executive’s Branch’s word on who makes the “Kill List”. Given that John Brennan was the counter terrorist advisor involved with the drone use, then what better time than before his nomination to demand clarity from the White House on its legitimate use?

We listen to Democrats drone on and on that Obama got Osama and al-Qaida is decimated yet they are cynically quiet about Benghazi and their deafening silence on whether Obama has the authority to use drones on American soil against American was heard loud and clear.

One word describes the silence of the lambs of Democrats during Rand Paul’s filibuster: deplorable.

COLD AS LIQUID NITROGEN

In testimony by the outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee on the Benghazi attack, Americans finally heard information on our President’s level of command and compassion for our diplomats and soldiers in jeopardy.

In a regular scheduled DOD meeting with the President that lasted 30 minutes only 15 minutes was devoted to the crises unfolding in Benghazi. Leon Panetta expressed to the President and defended the same argument to the committee that there was nothing the military could do to aide those in Benghazi.

The President reportedly told Panetta to do what could be done and it was on to other routine business. According to Panetta there was no follow up conversations with the President, no contact with the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the military never secured or put boots on the ground in Benghazi to secure the compound because there was no request to do so.

The Obama administration has little shock value to those of us that have been reading the fine print of his administration while ignoring the mainstream media’s sound bite spin yet I admit to being stunned by the cavalier posture of both the President and his top military commanders.

It was an “oh by the way” discussion at a regularly scheduled meeting?  It was only a 15 minute conversation? There was no statement such as “Mobilize all the available military assets we have and get to the Benghazi compound, I want planes in the air and boots on the ground ASAP.” No follow up conversation with the President at all beyond a 15 minute conversation by the Secretary of Defense Panetta that nothing could be done?

Panetta went on to testify that the military support in incidences such as this one is not to be used as “the 911” to call for support? What?

Okay now all Americans especially active military and veterans should be apoplectic with disgust at the Commander and Chief and his chief minister of defense of no defense. Obama’s cold distant and complete lack of engagement reaction is beyond digestion. Travon Martin received more attention by our President than Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyron Woods, Glen A. Doherty and Sean Smith.

It is more than disheartening to know that our government watched these men undergo an assault through the use of a drone video and did not even try to move assets into place to help these men. There is no past President that I can imagine regardless of being a Republican or Democrat that would not have tried to move heaven and earth to at least try and save these men.

In fact Americans would be able to feel at least rested of unease had we mobilized the assets even if they were too late to save lives but showed our military presence in Benghazi out of respect of our men, to the military and to the Libyans, and to the world.

Instead, the President did nothing but head off to campaign to remain Commander in Chief for another term.
Instead, the President lied to the American people that the Benghazi attack was unclear as to being caused by a protest over a video or a planned act of terrorism.

Instead the President continued to claim on the campaign stump that by his killing of Ben Laden “Al Qaida was decimated”.

Instead the President sent out Susan Rice Ambassador to the United Nations to puppet a myth that the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous uprising over protests of an anti-Islamic YouTube video.

Instead, the President lied behind the skirt of Candy Crowley in the presidential debate with Romney that he had called the Benghazi attack terrorism at the Rose Garden.

Instead, of taking responsibility his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stepped up to take responsibility however, in the new definition of responsibility in the Obama administration that means no blame, no fault, no mistakes, no regrets, no shame and absolutely no adverse consequences such as losing their job.

Instead, of full disclosure to the families of the victims and the American public regarding all the continuing unanswered questions about Benghazi such as where are the victims that were saved by the brave soldiers who died that day, and who changed the “talking points” to claim it was a spontaneous uprising based on a video, we are still left with a silent and empty Executive Branch chair.

Cold as ice is not strong enough to describe a President that did not give a second thought (no follow up) to our Ambassador and the brave men that fought to their deaths for America and Americans.
Even liquid nitrogen is warmer than the heartless space and void chest cavity that characterizes this President’s actions and in-actions making the Grinch even on his most callous of days seem more caring than our Commander in Chief.

Americans should demand a non-partisan investigation because we have an administration covering up for the White House that did not provide cover for our diplomatic personnel. The more information that is exposed exposes a dangerously disengaged American government bureaucracy that has no accountability, credibility or soul.
