Age of A- Quisling

The definition of quisling is a person who helps an enemy that has taken control of their country. In this case America's political enemy has been the social progressive Democrats and corporate lobbyist both eagerly trashing our Constitution, free enterprise and Judeo-Christian values. While the so-called opposition party of Republicans are being led by quislings in the House and Senate name Boehner and McConnell.

In fact, it might even be wrong to call them quislings for it assumes that they are turncoat conservatives when in fact they are the "SPOILS" (Selfish politicians only interested in legislating for special-interest).

Either way the American people are being treated as cattle while the corporate raiders use our representatives as paid ranch hands and rodeo performers (politicians in Washington) that rope, brand and fatten us up on promises, pledges and platitudes.

Worse, than the quisling leaders are the silent following members in the House and Senate, that refuse to stand up against the Chamber of Commerce, lobbyist's bought, and insider trading establishment politicians.

Senator Ted Cruz recently, confronted Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell on the floor of the chamber calling him a liar, because he had stated emphatically to the Senate that he made no deal with the Democrats on reviving the Export/Import Bank Bill in exchange for their support of the GOP Transportation Bill.

McConnell's lie became obvious when the only amendment allowed on the Transportation Bill was the Bank Bill, and all other amendments were rejected by the leadership as being  unrelated to transportation. (Hard to argue why the Export/Import Bank has any correlation to America's roads and bridges.)

McConnell claimed "when there is overwhelming bipartisan support for an idea, even if I oppose it, it doesn't require some 'special deal' to see a vote occur on that measure. This is the United States Senate, after all, where we debate and vote on all kinds of different issues,..." but this poor excuse for self defense fails the sincerity test.

Why? Because most Republicans oppose the bank and it was McConnell that used the "amendment tree" which is a procedural tactic, he had criticized Harry Reid for using when he was majority leader, and then he filed cloture on the Bill, to end debate.

If it looks like a lying duck, walks like a lying duck, quacks like a lying duck and has left scat all over the Senate floor like a lying duck,  then it must be a lying duck.

More than ever before Americans are finally seeing the curtains fall down around the corrupt dealers in Washington, exposing their hollow souls and greedy egos, because of new forthright blood sent to Congress by grassroots American activism.

On July 24, when Ted Cruz of Texas stood up and called out the Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over his lies and capitulation to the Democrat Party in favor of renewing the Export/import Bank Bill better known as the crony capital corporate welfare program, the silence in the Senate was notable.

A few days later on July 26,  Orin Hatch of Utah, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and John Cornyn of Texas stood up on the Senate floor and condemned someone for their lack of civility.

Was that someone the liar or the messenger? Were they upset with the someone that lied in leadership, or the someone that exposed the truth? Did they stand up for the American taxpayer and the Senator representing middle class constituents over corporate lobby interests or did they support the someone that sold out the 2014 voters?

Sadly and cynically these RINO SPOILS herded up to the Senate floor microphones and proclaimed support for the corrupt leadership, by calling for the messenger (Cruz) to be admonished. Perhaps voters in all states should be asking their Senators, if they stand with Cruz or corruption.

Coming into an election year that will have profound significance on the country's future and some might say, our last opportunity, to face a fork in the road, that either moves us further into decline or circles us back to common and familiar ground, we desperately need leadership with integrity.

We need principled representation. We need honorable public service. We need trust in office holders we hired. We need to bite the hands of all those political quislings, that are leading us to the corporate slaughter house. We need to ram our heads against the party pens and stampede Washington's K street congressional cartel until the voice of the people is heard loud, louder and loudest as our Republic intended.

The People's oval office is broken. The People's Senate is broken. The People's House of Representatives is broken. The People's judicial branch is broken. Yet, there is always hope, for WE THE PEOPLE are not broken.

Yes, our trust is damaged, yes, our cynicism grows stronger and yes our anger mounts with each election. But the American spirit, this intangible God given virtue that promotes a fiercely free foundation of righteous justice and individual liberty is not dead, not waning just quietly pondering when to arouse in fury.

Political and corporate thieves can pass legislation today, but they will always have to face the American people tomorrow. There will always be more believers of liberty than the controlling statists. There will always be re-ignition, even if we must restart in the ashes, because America is not a form for government it is a formula for freedom, and the recipe resides within each lawful citizen of our exceptional nation.

DEFENDING THE INDEFENSIBLE

The Democrat Party, media pundits and liberal activists have circled the wagon around a president that has shown contempt and defiance for America's Constitution and the value of law we inherently hold dear as a nation.

Their defensive arguments addressing Obama's many constitutional transgressions run the childish gamut from finger pointing at the previous administration to sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming a mantra of mockery with the intend to marginalize the transgressions.

In their insulated world of Obama deification they label every American that is critical of this President as racists, misogynistic, homophobic, ignorant, bitter, tin-foil crazy and hate-filled. However this name calling kill-the-messenger campaign eventually backfires.

As the old children's retort proclaims "I am rubber you are glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you" the public is becoming weary of the Democrats and their constant pompous palliation.

Because with the rise of independent voters, what is growing painfully obvious to party politicians is that Americans do think outside of the partisan box, and the Democrat Party is the party that fears the truth. In every scandal their party has hurled distractive insults toward legitimate questions using absurd analogies to congressional fact finding as witch-hunts and circuses.

When Democrat Party members are asked simple pointed questions that Americans deserve answers to, they shrug them away as either administrative mistakes or obfuscate using the immature game of "He or she did it too." (George Bush)

America was once an honorable country that took pride is always seeking, finding and exposing the truth even if it hurt our reputation. The lesson of Watergate wasn't that all Republicans were corrupt (as Democrats might want you to believe) but rather that our Constitution and rule of law is only as strong as We the People demand it to be.

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are the faces of a party that not only  ignores the Constitution (Obamacare) but they and their members have been perpetrating a campaign with a complicit media to hide the truth from the American people. The Democrat Party's representation has dissolved to become an Obama shield party.

We should be asking the Democrats and those supporting the left why doesn't America have the right to know the truth. Why doesn't America deserve the truth about Benghazi, IRS, Fast and Furious and any and all administration and government scandalous behavior? Why are you supporting deceitful secrecy when you claim to be in favor of transparent government?

Why don't we know who, what and for what purpose was there a gun running sting operation that illegally allowed weapons to be bought by criminals and cross our border without any effort to interdict them? Who has been held accountable for the deaths of law enforcement officials killed by the Fast and Furious guns?

If there is nothing to hide, then why are people exercising the fifth Amendment?  Who in the White House directed the IRS to target conservative groups? Why is the IRS being allowed to continue to harass conservatives by subjecting Tea Party donors to audits ten times the normal average? Why did Nancy Pelosi appoint Elijah Cummings to sit as vice Chairman on the IRS oversight Committee to so-call investigate wrong-doing, when we now know he and his staff co-conspired with Lois Lerner to harass True the Vote?

For Democrats to continue to defend the indefensible actions of this administration and provide cover for such dishonorable service leads one to only two conclusions. Either the Democrat Party have no propriety and dignity left or they were involved more closely with these scandals then is yet known. In the case of the IRS targeting we are starting to discover that some members of Congress (Cummings) were playing  the role of judge, jury, and  defense lawyer while cynically caught being one of the defendants.

Why don't we know why Ambassador Stevens was put in harm's way in Benghazi, without security, by our then Secretary of State? Why don't we know who promoted the bold faced lie about a protest caused by an obscure video? Why didn't we try to save our personnel under attack? Why was there a young green gilled "Dude" in the situation room (National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor) while the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief, has yet to account for his whereabouts during the attack?

It seems that the cover-ups  and the closed curtain on the truth is the only thing transparent in our current government run by ideologues committed to transforming America by savaging all vestiges of honor and accountability.

The media has been absent at best and a tall tale teller for the elites in power at worst. However, as much power as the news media has over some Americans who are politically half asleep, truth is a powerful bestirring stimulant.

Americans deserve full discloser, candid testimony from government officials and real consequences for any in our government that acted either illegally or failed to act honorable under their oath of office. When either political Party engages to cover up the facts, lie to the American people or refuse to investigate wrong doing in our government , then they are violating their oath " faithfully discharge the duties of the office," and the public's trust.

"Truth is the property of no individual but is the treasure of all men."

TECHNOLOGY OR YOUR PRIVACY? HELL NO!

American rights have been assaulted once again by the discloser of data mining by the NSA with the White House arrogantly assuring us that their actions are legal and constitutional. Americans should have two reactions to this administration’s anti-American campaign to spy on citizens, one is Hell and the other is NO.

Is anyone else sick of our government’s complete underhanded secrecy on the one hand and abject ineptness on the other? The Russians handed the FBI the information on the Boston terrorist on a silver platter. They didn’t have spy for the information or eavesdrop on phone calls to find Tamerlan Tsarnaeva.  Worse, Tamerlan was not a United States citizen so the FBI can’t argue that they were helpless to charge him with a crime until he committed one.

The FBI should have deported Tamerlan Tsarnaeva based on his extremists views and at the very least kept him under surveillance and let the local Boston police in on this potential terror suspect. However, the FBI did none of these things and Americans families suffered losing loved ones and limbs thanks to their PC correct; no jihad threat to see folks.

It was this administration’s DHS that granted the Tsarnaeva family asylum. It was this administration that ignored the warnings from Russia. It was this administration’s FBI that failed to give the local Boston police the information that may have saved lives.

Oh but spying on Americans and data mining our phone records in the interest of finding terror plots is suppose to make us feel warm and fuzzy that our government is protecting America?

Which is it? Are we at war with jihad or is this a police action against terror? Obama wants it both ways. Which is it? Is this an unconstitutional breach of law enforcement spying on private citizen’s phone logs or a suspension of the Bill of Rights while we are at war with jihad? Either way Americans say “Hell No”.

If we lose our liberty because of terror threats than the Muslim terrorists have won already. The Patriot Act was not intended to give the federal government “Big Brother” omnipotent power. Now that it has been revealed that this is exactly how it is being abused by our government then it is time to seek repeal of the Patriot Act by both sides of the political aisle.

Some have suggested that if one doesn’t want the government to spy on you, then don’t access the internet, don’t use your cell phone and I guess we would also add, don’t make a salary (IRS target) and don’t see a doctor when you’re sick (Obamacare). NO, technological progress does not mean a waiver of your inherent right to privacy. Just because technology makes it easier for government to data mine information on citizens does not make it legal, constitutional or moral!

The Fort Hood shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan is another example of the Political Correct numbness of officials in authority refuses to exercise their common sense and recognize a terror threat peculating in front of their noses. This Army psychiatrist was spewing praise for suicide bombers to American troops and the military brass looked the other way. He was communicating with Anwar al-Awlaki the American born terrorist Obama killed in Yemen without a trial that his administration claimed incited terrorism like the Fort Hood killer.

Which is it? Did Anwar al Awlaki incite Hasan to commit workplace violence or terrorism? Which is it? Did you drone kill a terrorists or a criminal? If you drone killed a terrorists that incited a terrorist then why is the Fort Hood massacre still called a workplace domestic incident and not a terror attack?

Which was it? Was Benghazi a protest caused by a video or a terror attack? Which truth was it? Did the President call it an act of terror immediately at the Rose Garden, or was the fog war making it unclear and the President, Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice were misled by bad intelligence?

This administration has been standing on its head while turning our country upside down against our Bill of Rights, traditional values and common sense. Stop allowing the government to pretend that invading our liberty is necessary to keep us safe.

Obama and the Democrats need to understand who the real enemy of America is,and it is not the Tea Party, conservatives, Libertarians, Patriots, Constitutional educators, traditional Americans, or JFK Democrats. It is not Christians, Jews or law abiding atheists. It is not soldiers returning from war, or legal immigrants assimilated and studying to be citizens or newly sworn citizens that respect America’s constitution.

Stop pretending that it is politically incorrect to “profile” those traveling or immigrating to the United States from countries ripe with extremist Muslim radicals but okay to “target” God fearing Americans that reject your socialist, big government policies.

Americans know who the enemy is. Americans know it is possible to thwart terrorism while keeping our Constitution respected and upheld. Americans know that yes we are in a war, against a caliphate, against Muslim religious fascism that will not rest until it dominates the world.

Americans are not the enemy! Using the social media the internet or the cell phone is neither a crime nor a waiver of American’s right to not have our government seize our records, read our e-mails or spy on us.
If Obama’s government cannot use technology responsibly and within our constitutional rights then we should make our government communicate by carrier pigeons.

Americans have the right to use our modern world with all its modern conveyances and still be assured that our rights are not trampled by big government statist that spy, lie and say trust us. Hell NO!

DEMOCRATS DRONE ON AND ON

Rand Paul’s Wednesday March 6, 2013 filibuster that lasted a few minutes shy of 13 hours and was an inspiration to all Americans as he defended our Constitution and traditional American moral values.
The issue surrounded the President’s lack of definitive answers regarding whether the Executive Branch claimed authority to drone American citizens suspected of being a terrorist threat on American soil without allowing them due process.

The Senator from Kentucky had requested clarification on the President’s authority since the leaked secret “White Paper” revealed a legal opinion justifying the recent drone strike on an American born terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki that was killed in Yemen in 2011.

The “White Paper” was problematic for a number of reasons. First, it was kept secret from the oversight of Congress.

Second it laid out new definitions and parameters to words such as “eminent” threat and enemy combatant to justify assassination targets.

Thirdly, since al-Awlaki was a citizen of the United States it raised issues over the unilateral right of the Executive Branch to suspend due process without judicial involvement.

Fourth, if the “White Paper” is allowed to be used as an unchallenged precedent that contains no Congressional debate then what is to stop the President from decided other Americans can be targeted for drone strikes with this new construct of power that ignores citizen’s rights per the Bill of Rights?

Earnestly, Rand Paul wrote repeatedly to the Administration for clarification by asking a simple question of the White House on whether they believed that the President or Executive Branch has the authority under the Constitution to drone Americans on American soil.

Instead of receiving a clear, unequivocal and emphatic “NO” from the DOJ or any other spokesperson from the White House there was first silence and then circumspect responses such as “no plans” to do so or that it would be “inappropriate”.

More importantly, John Brennan who was intimately involved with the drone program was about to be voted on by the Senate to head the CIA. Rand Paul took a stand against allowing this murky non-committal response by the White House on the use of drones. Holding up the vote of John Brennan, one of Obama’s main promoters of drone attacks and “kill List” for director of the CIA until his question was fully answered.

Anyone that claims this was a stunt; grandstanding or an unreasonable position taken by Senator Rand Paul is not paying attention to an administration that uses every legal contortion to further the President’s power. (Example; when advisers discussed the President using the 14 Amendment to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling).

The Senator’s filibuster could have been averted completely weeks earlier by Eric Holder and or the White House by a simple declarative statement asserting that the President has no such dictatorial power.
The Senator’s filibuster could equally have been averted by the Senate majority leader Harry Reid by allowing a Paul’s Resolution Bill to be voted on in the Senate prior to the Brennan vote, that simple stating that the Executive Branch does not have the authority outside of war or eminent threat to suspend due process.

Lastly, at any time in the roughly 13 hours of Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster the Democrats or the White House could have passed a resolution or sent over legal clarification to the Senator ending his filibuster.

The Democratic Party has revealed three very illustrative aspects to their ideology all Americans should take note. This modern day Democratic Party so radical and  emasculated by its politics first logic that it sat in silence over the most basic rights of Americans; life.

The first is Hypocrisy 101; in that Democrats do not support water boarding claiming it is torture while being pro assassination by drone. The ACLU was in support of Rand Paul.

The second is the Stepford wife syndrome; only one lone Democratic Senator from Oregon Ron Wyden rose in support of Rand Paul and the Constitutional principle he was advocating. Senator Dick Durbin should not be counted for he was there along with Harry Reid to try and stop the filibuster not join it or concede to Paul’s resolution, and move the Senate to cloture.

The rest of the Party was kept loyally silent by their master President Obama. The unilateral loyalty of the Democratic Party to back their President’s noncommittal attitude on the most foundational morality and American value of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is frankly disturbing.

Lastly the Democrats Trans-morphing of Congress; call it either Senate-Executive or the Executive-Senate but Majority leader Harry Reid has created a body that has no independent power, no debate, no votes on budgets and Bills deemed politically disadvantageous to the Executive Branch’s political agenda. What should be a check and balance on the Executive Branch and a Senate body intended to debate and deliberate pressing issues of the country have been swallowed up by political partisan promotion and a silencing of the minority opinion.

This Democratic Party contains few individuals as it marches in lockstep with the President’s agenda regardless if it is in the country’s interest. If the fawning Press corps claims to be controlled by this White House then the Democratic Party has allowed itself to be owned by this administration.

The fact that Senator Harry Reid refused to allow a simple declarative Bill to be voted on freely up and down by the 100 Senators as to whether the President has the right to suspend due process for Americans on American soil reveals the Democratic Party’s complete subservience and allegiance to the President rather than to America’s flag .

We also heard from Senator Ron Johnson when he spoke during the filibuster about the dysfunction of the Senate. Under the iron fist of Harry Reid little debate was ever heard on the floor in four years along with the lack of a budget passed by the so called deliberative body of Congress.

The filibuster was both a proud moment for the people’s voice and a shameful silence of the disconnected and politically arrogant Majority Party. Both Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham once again showed the public their venial ignorance about standing for principles when they criticized Paul the following day. They represent the old guard political arrogance that needs replacing in Washington.

Rand Paul was speaking for many Americans very concerned about an administration that has been secretive, dishonest, partisan and careless with our treasures in both American money and fighting men and women.

The drone issue is not settled. The drone policy is not clear. The use of lethal force by drone must have better over sight other than to simply take the Executive’s Branch’s word on who makes the “Kill List”. Given that John Brennan was the counter terrorist advisor involved with the drone use, then what better time than before his nomination to demand clarity from the White House on its legitimate use?

We listen to Democrats drone on and on that Obama got Osama and al-Qaida is decimated yet they are cynically quiet about Benghazi and their deafening silence on whether Obama has the authority to use drones on American soil against American was heard loud and clear.

One word describes the silence of the lambs of Democrats during Rand Paul’s filibuster: deplorable.
